This past weekend, I watched by nieces and nephew, along with some other kids at a birthday party, jumping and splashing through a mud puddle. Then last night I watched as a little boy, that couldn't have been more than 3, splashed through a similar puddle at my husband's softball game.
Part of me was thinking, "Ahh, you're going to get dirty!" And another part of me was cheering, "Yeah, jump in!" Isn't that a lot like our lives?
So many opportunities that come up, we can't possibly be certain of the outcome. We either succeed when we jump in, or fall in the mud when things don't work out. I've fallen more times than I can count. But each time I found success was only after I made the leap. You have to take the chance, or you'll never grow, change, or realize your dreams.
Are there any puddles you need to jump in today?
